CSTP 6: Developing as a Professional Educator
In EDUC 538, Current Issues in Education, I reflected on how leadership styles affected instructors by examining twelve different literature reviews on the various ways in which professional educators were most fulfilled in their work environment. The methods of leadership in a school, practiced by a principal or administrator, may greatly impact the staff, faculty, and as result, the students. Teacher motivation can be greatly influenced and affected by the leadership styles that are used by the administration at the school. This paper examines twelve different literature reviews, in which many leadership styles were discussed and each one was used to create a positive impact. Another topic of discussion focused on organizational factors that could be used by school administrators which benefit teacher motivation. Being able to see the similarities and differences of the leadership styles and organizational factors are very valuable for administrators and teachers to make the right decisions for their students and progress as an instructor to meet CSTP 6, developing as a professional educator. I have found that staff members and my colleagues during my time as a student-teacher have greatly contributed to my positive attitude at school and strong work ethic. Teacher meetings and faculty relationships have given me a great support system in which I have learned many valuable lessons and techniques. Please see report attached below.
